I'm like, soooooooooooo bored.

Its not even July yet and I am already over summer vacation. Maybe we just haven't gotten into the swing of things or into a good schedule or something - but whatever it is, whatever the reason - I am just not in the mood for summer this year.

Does anyone else feel like their kids are spoiled? I sure do. They complain constantly about everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. Their pool isn't "fun enough" because it lacks a slide and a diving bored. Don't they know how freaking lucky they are? Growing up, I played in a ditch. For fun. Sometimes if my mom was feeling generous she would go through the annoying hassle of setting up crocodile mile... and I now know why she didn't set it up a lot... because it was most likely freaking annoying to set up, and if I was anything like my kids are this summer, I doubt it was good enough for me anyhow! SPOILED!

So anyhoo... I thought I would share these pictures of how boring and terrible the kids have it this summer. Please, feel sorry for them. Really. Good grief.

Running

Chris and I started running three weeks ago and its sort of been really rad. I never really want to get up (5:30am comes super early) but I feel pretty good once I get started. And boy, do I feel awesome after its over. I actually used to purpose run all of the time. That was a lifetime ago. 11 years ago. A marriage ago. Three babies ago. My body is extremely different and this go around, its harder to run than I remember it being. BUT, it is slowly coming back to me. I am remembering what it actually felt like to have that runners feeling. The sweat is good, the burn is good. I am starting to feel a part of my self that I lost a long time ago. A part that I have really missed.

Bryson and MK had field day yesterday. I love how my son smiles at me when he is running. He is getting to that age where he doesn't want to call me "momma" in public and most certainly doesn't want me to show him ANY type of affection in front of anyone. Whatever. MK still loves me. Publically.

Going Up On A Tuesday

I loooooooooooooooooove Tuesdays. Normally. My kids are back to normal from the weekend and life is for the most part back to boring. Tuesdays are my most favorite days. EVER.

I was having a swell day until it was time for MK and Aleigh to clean their room:

Oh. My. Gawd. LIARS. They don't clean. They just shove stuff under their beds and call it a day. And Aleigh.... ugh. Aleigh is gross. She hides dirty undies with skiddy's under her dresser. She is just like aunt Katelyn. Who pee'd in a CUP the other day (all I can think of is, "say I. Spell CUP. hahahaha I-C-U-P!!!")

Anyhow... they are driving me nuts. And their room is a hell-hole. Buttttttttttt... on the bright side.... I made myself a new purse!!!

Little Hipster Dresses

This weekend I had a brilliant idea to make some different dresses for my girls. I was at Goodwill yesterday and came across these skirts in the women's section:
I paired them with some tanks from Walmart to make some different tank dresses that weren't so typical (AKA not from Justice - where my little ladies usually like to shop).

My Mothers Day Gift

This year for Mothers Day, Chris really wowed me. He knows how much I love my area code (can I get a whoop whoop for the four one nine????) so he whipped me up this fantastic creation using some old fence board that he had just torn down. We live in a condo, so I think that this really helps makes our area a little more "us" and not the same old, same old. Being in a blended family requires some give and take, especially on holidays or special days (heck, EVERY day requires some sort of sacrifice or SOMETHING) and Mothers Day was no different. We were just really low key. Keegan and Landin got to spend some time with their mother and I got to take my three out to eat at FRICKERS where my little dears could fight and complain over not having enough quarters to play the claw machine. Whatever. Chicken chunks with KILLER sauce. Momma likes it spicy. I hope you all had a fantastic mothers day - in your area code.
